I'm Maya, a bird-care writer and longtime avian hobbyist who enjoys helping other owners and wildlife fans build trust with birds through gentle, welfare-first methods. I test training steps at home with my budgies and cockatiel, foster orphaned songbirds when they appear, and volunteer time with local rescue efforts. Outside of writing I birdwatch in my neighborhood, make simple perches and toys, and photograph birds for portfolio reference.
